The Gaul Mercenary Corps. (GMC) is a loose-knit unit that exist within a bigger clan unit comprising of pilots who have asked to join GAUL without properly sending a message through official channels or being asked to join the clan in the regular ways
The 1st GMC was activated before and primarily because of WWR's first Clan War One (CW1) where the un-used spots in the unit were given to pilots. Mercs are allowed to fight under the GAUL banner on a short-term basis, to partake in the rewards that clan members receive during the war and in turn, the Mercs, by fighting under the GAUL banner, helps the clan (and themselves again) with over-all trophy counts.
At the conclusion of CW1, the 1st GMC and its members will be dismissed. Each member of the 1st GMC are, of course, allowed to apply for a permanent spot in the unit.
During CW1, Metcs may be dismissed at anytime to allow the chance for other pilots to partake in the benefits for fighting in CW1.
